The only way to eat a tree



This dish is awesome! it is so easy to make it's good for you, goes with anything AND it taste good to boot what more do you need really? give it try let me know what ya think.

Roasted Garlic Lemon Broccoli

Ingredients
  • 2 heads broccoli, separated into florets
  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss broccoli florets with the extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, pepper and garlic. Spread the broccoli out in an even layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until florets are tender enough to pierce the stems with a fork, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove and transfer to a serving platter. Squeeze lemon juice liberally over the broccoli before serving for a refreshing, tangy finish.

  1. I tried a recipe like this, but it had a lot more lemon in it, and I didn't like it...so I might have to give this recipe a try, sounds better :-)

  2. My advice Mary double the broccoli and garlic use 1 tsp lemon juice add a little extra evoo and I would use a dash of the sea salt it can get salty fast. And spray the pan or they might stick :) But it is good we eat it all the time :)

    I NEED to go grocery shopping--being gone for 5 days means we're totally out of produce and bread and dairy products. I think Tom and the kids survived on top ramen....
